How the assessment works
Enquiry and booking
Start by submitting an enquiry. It only takes three minutes.
We’ll email you our welcome package, which includes a client guide and a consent form.
Once you return your completed consent, we’ll send a booking invitation. You can then choose and secure an available appointment.
An assessment normally costs $945 including GST. Rarely, we would recommend extended assessment to be conducted by one of our psychiatrists, at the cost of $1260.
Appointments are generally available in 2–4 weeks.
While waiting for your appointment, we will ask you to provide information about your health and complete clinical questionnaires, to help your doctor fully prepare.
During and after the appointment
The appointment takes place via secure telehealth. Your doctor will review and discuss with you your health history, current difficulties and their effect on daily life.
You receive a written report outlining a clinical conclusion and recommendations. Your doctor will discuss the findings and the next steps in your care. You can choose to continue with your GP at this point, or book a follow-up with us.
Follow-up and ongoing care
Follow-up appointments provide time to discuss progress, address your questions, and optimise your treatment. We strongly recommend booking at least one follow-up after your assessment.
You can continue your ongoing care with Validus for as long as you need or continue with your primary care provider.
The cost of a follow-up appointment is $315, including GST.
